爱沙尼亚国有电力公司Eesti Energia公司将开始向其客户提供太阳能解决方案，计划在2020年使其产电量的40%来自可再生能源。
该公司表示，将从明年秋季开始向客户推出太阳能租赁解决方案，并为自我消费的客户提供交钥匙项目。它将在爱沙尼亚提供一个全新、独特、完整的太阳能租赁服务，使消费者无需自筹资金就能使用太阳能。业务运营方可以专注于其主营业务，而将其他所有太阳能产电相关业务交给Eesti Energia，客户则只需按协定好的价格支付电费。
首个此类项目将会出现在该国Järva县当地公司OÜ Estonia的一个奶牛场的屋顶，由Eesti Energia的可再生能源部门Enefit Taastuvenergia建造。
Eesti Energia表示，它将确保为所有希望拥有光伏设施的客户提供从电站设计到最终交付生产的完整、顺畅过程。
截至2016年底，爱沙尼亚累计光伏发电量为10兆瓦。其中2016年新增量为3兆瓦。爱沙尼亚光伏协会预测，2017年将会有5兆瓦的新增光伏系统并网。
