乌克兰南部小城Ochakiv的市政厅已经与土耳其太阳能及可再生能源项目开发商Eko Yenilenebilir Enerjiler A.S. (EkoRE) 签署了一份谅解备忘录(MoU)，将在该市建造一座15兆瓦的光伏电站。
这一项目占地23公顷，可享受乌克兰大型太阳能的FIT方案。据报道，EkoRE还有计划为当地的一些小型光伏系统，如建在学校、幼儿园等公共建筑上的光伏项目提供融资。而这些小型项目则很有可能在净计量方案下开发。
完工期限在2017-2019年间的大型光伏项目，其FIT为€0.1502/kWh。而30kW及以下的屋顶太阳能项目则使用净计量方案，2017年的电价为€0.18/kWh。
国际可再生能源机构(IRENA)2015年的一份报告显示，乌克兰有巨大的可再生能源潜力，如果能被开发，可在2030年将该国可再生能源的比例提升至21.8% 。
