巴西能源和矿业部(MME)宣布，2018年4月4日将进行热电、风能、太阳能和水力发电等大型电站项目的拍卖行动。
MME表示，将拍卖时间定在明年上半年，可以给被选中的开发商更多的建设时间，从而降低了电力购买者的风险。所有被选定的项目必须从2022年1月1日起投入运营。
此次招标将会授予水电项目30年期的PPA，给风能、太阳能和生物质发电项目20年期的PPA。MME表示，今年12月的A-4拍卖中通过资格预审的项目，将被视为也通过了明年4月的资格预审。
新一轮的A-4拍卖，也是该国的第五轮可再生能源项目拍卖，预计将分配约1吉瓦的容量给光伏项目。2014-2015年间前的三轮，分配了约3吉瓦大型光伏发电容量。据称其中的1748兆瓦成功概率极高，544.3兆瓦完成几率一般，另有110兆瓦项目不太可能完成。2016年的拍卖计划最初被推迟，之后最终被取消。
