德国Wircon 集团下属的澳/英分公司Wirsol Energy Ltd宣布收购英国的两个总容量为16MW的太阳能项目，并表示计划在未来一年半的时间内，将其投资组合扩大至150MW。
这两个项目分别为位于埃塞克斯郡的7MW Outwood太阳能公园，和位于诺福克的9MW Trowse-Newton太阳能公园，均将在2018年1月开始施工建设。Wirsol表示，目前正处于为这两个项目寻求长期PPA的协商过程中，但确定这些项目将会在无国家补贴电价的状况下运行。
Wirsol还计划收购另外6个容量在7-45MW间的项目，并表示其与Hive Energy公司的合资项目——一个在英格兰东南部地区的350MW项目已经进入初级规划和应用阶段。
自Anesco公司宣布了英国的第一个无补贴太阳能项目后，另又有几个此类项目浮出水面。但英国太阳能行业协会对这一商业模式持怀疑态度，指出“只有特殊的项目才会在无补贴条件下开发。我们所要求的是太阳能的公平竞争环境。”
