最近泄露的一份预算草案显示，美国总统特朗普有意将清洁能源及能源效率研究预算削减72%。
特朗普政府计划将能源部(DOE)的能源效率和可再生能源办公室(EERE)的费用从20.4亿美元大刀阔斧地削减至5.755亿美元，同时削减近250个工作岗位。
据称最大的研究预算削减落在节能汽车上(82%)，太阳能技术研究将减少78%，而接受EERC2.93亿美元预算的美国国家可再生能源实验室(NREL)，其未来命运目前尚不明朗。
报道称，尽管没有具体的证据，但相信国会应会恢复大部分的预算金额。但这一提议仍然令人头疼，因为毕竟它标明了将从本月开始的国会谈判的起点。
