GTM Research公布了2017年太阳能跟踪器的数据：年出货量达创纪录的14.5GW，其中NEXTracker贡献了三分之一，名列榜首。排名二至五位的公司则分别是：Array Technologies Inc、Soltec Renewable SL、Arctech Inc. 和Convert Italia SpA。
拉丁美洲成为最大的市场。其中墨西哥和巴西是两个增长最快的市场，全年出货量均超过了1.5GW。
GTM Research预测2018年会有更强劲的增长——30%或高达20 GW。双面板跟踪器预计在年内将会有两位数的增长，并最终成为主导产品。而业内人士预测明年双面板跟踪器的安装将会有爆炸式增长，认为它是太阳能产业内最激动人心、尚未被开发的机会，将会掀起一股巨浪。
《光伏杂志》去年七月公布的跟踪器市场年度调查报告显示，2016年美国的累计跟踪器装机容量为8.39GW，引领全球市场。其次是印度和巴西，分别为1.25GW和1.02GW。调查当时，全球太阳能跟踪器的总安装量为12.83GW，而另有6.53GW在建造中或已签订合同。
