美国技术公司Natcore表示,公司已精简了其铝箔电池生产工艺:在背部接触电池生产过程中不再使用激光;且改进了铝箔金属化的工艺。新工艺在价廉的同时又能满足高速生产的要求。
铝箔电池运用了异质结技术,使用廉价的铝来代替昂贵的银。去年5月在电池背板上获得了20.7%的转换效率,如今随着新工艺的开发,公司期望能将效率提升至25%,并进一步降低成本。
铝金属化方面,该公司使用了一种“载体选择性接触工艺”(carrier selective contact process)来替代激光,生成电池的全背面接触结构。
Natcore目前在加速生产使用这些工艺的铝箔电池原型,以提供低本高效的模型,并计划筹资实现商业化。
公司董事长Brien Lundin表示,Natcore的铝箔电池是一种迭代性的飞跃,相信那些行业大佬们均将会与Natcore合作,一起将新技术推向市场。
