联合国国际海事组织(IMO)上周通过了一项减少船舶温室气体排放的气候变化战略,它有可能推进太阳能光伏技术在船舶电气化中的运用。
IMO的这项战略,要求至2050年将国际航运领域的温室气体年总排放量,至少降低到2008年水平的50%。其终极目标是使整个航运业实现零排放。
IMO目前有173个成员国和3个准成员国。根据世界银行的统计,如果将整个航运业当作一个国家,它将会是全球第六大温室气体排放国。
IMO的初步战略为国际航运的未来提供了广阔的前景,并提供了实现这一目标的框架。而这一策略也给太阳能光伏和能源储存领域打开了机会的窗口。目前已经有了一些独立的光伏动力船舶案例。例如《光伏杂志》曾经报道过的全球最大太阳能帆船的探险。光伏和航运业需要共同努力来提供类似的解决方案。
现在已经到了航运业停止燃烧重质燃料油,开始使用太阳能的时代了。
