印度科学技术部上周日宣布,该国中央化学研究所(CEECRI)已与Raasi solar power Pvt. Ltd.签署了谅解备忘录,将在Bengaluru建立锂电池生产基地。
以Gopu Kumar为首的CECRI研究人员已经开发出一种新型锂离子电池技术。CECRI在金奈(Chennai)建立了一个示范性生产设施,用于生产锂离子电池原型。
该研究所强调,其锂离子电池制造已经获得了全球知识产权(IPRS),这一技术能够降低生产成本,从而可用于大规模生产和商业化。
Raasi Group将在泰米尔纳德区的克里希纳吉里建立制造工厂,表示希望能把电池制造的成本降到INR 15,000/KW (US$ 222)以下,使之能取代铅酸电池。该集团还计划制造寿命为25年的太阳能屋顶用锂离子电池,而其价格将具有竞争力。
据报道,印度每年电池的进口额在1.5亿美元左右。而这一本土电池制造计划可以支持印度中央政府2022年175吉瓦(100 吉瓦太阳能光伏)清洁能源的规划,并在2030年转向电动汽车。
根据最新的REN21 报告,太阳能部门有助于创造就业机会。印度2017年报告了16.4万个工作岗位,比上年增长了36%。而除了能减少外汇损失外,印度的电池制造业也极可能使就业率大幅增长。
