越南政府在一份新闻稿中宣布，该国西宁省的一个500兆瓦太阳能项目中的两座光伏电站Dau Tieng 1号电站和Dau Tieng 2号电站已经开始施工建设。
这两个设施的装机容量分别为150兆瓦和200兆瓦，计划于2018年及2019启用。第三个150兆瓦的Dau Tieng3号电站预计将在2021年至2025年间部署。
已开工的两座电站的总投资约为9.3兆越南盾（约合3.976亿美元）。项目的开发商是泰国能源公司B. Grimm Power Public Company Ltd，和越南建筑公司Xuan Cau Co. Ltd。
此外，越南南部的另一个168兆瓦光伏项目也于本月开工建设。这一项目是由新加坡开发商Sunseap建造的，投资额为1.5亿美元。
除此之外，该国还另有几个项目目前正在开发或建设阶段。这些项目均为越南FIT方案的一部分。在该方案下，并网光伏电站的所有者被授予了一个20年期的FIT，价格为每千瓦时2086越南盾（0.091美元），其中不包括增值税。但这一电价可能会根据越南盾兑美元汇率的变化而变化。
所有这些设施生产出的电力将在20年内全部出售给越南电力公司（EVN）。
