韩华Q Cells上周透露，将在其美国的新工厂开始生产Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G6组件。该产品是Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G5的一个升级，能多提供超5%的电量。
和Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G5一样，新组件使用Q Cells的Q.ANTUM PERC半切单晶电池，有六个汇流条。这一120-电池（60个半切）组件的输出功率为330～345瓦。
韩华在新闻发布会上的措辞中没有出现“美国制造”字样，只是提及将会在其计划明年一季度开工的新工厂中生产包括G6在内一系列产品。目前还不清楚韩华将从何处采购供G6使用的单晶电池，但工厂将会及时开工，以便赶上年度的进口电池关税减免。
在美国制造新组件
韩华此前曾宣扬过其半切单晶产品在美国住宅市场的成功，因而其在新工厂生产这些产品的决定并不完全令人惊讶。
在此之前，晶科能源也做出决定，在其杰克逊维尔（Jacksonville）工厂中生产非常规的158.75mm正方形P型单晶硅片。韩华和晶科的规划中都包含有新型电池设计和高效单晶电池。
目前尚不清楚这些组件将用于哪类项目。虽然这两家公司都强调小型住宅和/或商业型电站市场，但它们都持有大型公用事业项目的供货合同，而这些项目或是使用这些高效产品，或是进口那些受限于201条关税的组件。
此外，First Solar也将在其俄亥俄州的新建工厂制造新款大型Series 6组件。虽然这一产品肯定是针对公用事业市场，但它也强烈显示出，差异化已成为了美国组件制造领域的一种趋势。
