印度中央邦Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL)在一份官方声明表示，它已经实现了历史性的低电价——每单位1.38卢比（0.019美元），这一光伏屋顶系统，作为其RESCO II屋顶太阳能招标的一部分，将被安装在中央政府大楼屋顶上。
MPUVNL的监理工程师Shreekant Deshmukh表示，这一每单位1.38卢比的最低电价，相当于目前消费者支付价格的四分之一，但仅适用于第一年。之后将按3%的比例每年增长，25年后价格大致翻一番。
另一方面，MPUVNL和印度太阳能公司的合资企业Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL)也已发出了1.5GW太阳能项目的竞标邀请。这一项目将包括三个独立的系统：Agar太阳能公园(550MW)、Shajapur太阳能公园(450MW)和Neemuch太阳能公园(500MW)。RUMSL将与印度铁路和铁路能源管理公司（REMCL）签署购电协议，后者将从该项目采购约23%的电力，剩余发电量则将有中央邦电力管理公司（MPPMCL）收购。
到目前为止，中央邦已经安装了约1.3吉瓦的太阳能发电容量，另还有几个吉瓦级别的项目正在开发中。该邦的累计公用事业规模太阳能容量占全国总量的近6%。
