法国能源巨头EDF宣布收购英国离网电力开发商BBOXX公司多哥业务的50%股权,再次展示出全球性大型能源公司对撒哈拉以南非洲地区离网电力项目开发的浓厚兴趣。
上周五,这两家公司在多哥首都洛美签署了一项合作协议,宣布了在多哥开发及销售离网电力解决方案,并加快政府电气化项目交付的计划。据报道,这一计划的宗旨是至2030年使50万以上的人口能够使用电力。
BBOXX公司自2017年起开始在多哥开展业务,该公司已经通过安装带储能的太阳能住宅系统为多哥的2.6万人口提供了电力。根据EDF与BBOXX的协议,EDF将提供资金推动BBOXX系统在多哥的部署,并将提供专项技术知识以改善系统电池的性能。
两家公司计划通过这种伙伴关系,扩展其在多哥电力市场的份额,并力争在2024年达到35%的占比。此外,双方还会有一些在非洲其他国家的进一步合作计划。
近年来,一些大型能源公司对非洲国家的离网电力解决方案兴趣日益渐浓。ENGIE在2017年收购了美国的Fenix International,石油巨头Total在2016年收购两家离网电力初创企业的股份。
