新加坡经济发展委员会（EDB）已就在该国开发一座100兆瓦浮动太阳能项目的可行性，发布了一项信息征询。
EDB在声明中表示，拟议的项目所在地为克兰芝(Kranji)水库，它表面的一小部分面积就可以容纳高达100兆瓦的浮动光伏设施。水库的管理方是新加坡公共事业管理委员会（PUB）。
11月30日将召集信息发布会，对此项目有兴趣的各方可以参加此次会议了解详情。而有意向的开发商必须在明年2月15日之前提交项目建议书。EDB将对项目进行考察和评估。最初的评估依据主要是开发商所提交的电价。
项目中标方将在考察阶段结束后与EDB签署一份谅解备忘录，而在项目的最后阶段将获得一份PPA。
新加坡是浮动光伏项目的一个重要市场。新加坡太阳能研究院已经对浮动太阳能项目潜力进行了多年的研究。今年4月份该国首次进行了此类技术项目的招标，当时PUB挑选了一些公司，为在该国两个水库部署2.5兆瓦的浮动光伏进行工程性研究。之后， PUB进行了两座浮动光伏电站的招标，分别是1.5兆瓦的贝多克(Bedok)水库项目和1兆瓦的下塞莱塔(Lower Seletar)水库项目。
