法国政府宣布，在其进行的风能、太阳能混合实验性拍卖中，所有中标项目均为光伏技术，总容量为200MW，平均电价€54.94/MWh。
此次拍卖，是大型光伏项目首次与陆上风能项目同台竞争。政府表示其目的是测试这两种技术的相对竞争力。而中标的16个项目全部为光伏技术。
法国能源部部长Franois de Rugy表示：“此次招标的结果，一方面表明太阳能在陆地上具有强大的竞争力，另一方面则显示出有必要发展平衡化、多样化的可再生能源电力组合。”

法国政府希望能通过六次拍卖，部署4GW的大型太阳能光伏设施。今年8月进行的第四轮太阳能拍卖中，法国政府选中了103个太阳能项目，总容量达727.9 MWp。同时这一轮中也出现了一个全时段的最低电价，€52.1/MWh。
今年前六个月，受大型太阳能项目的驱动，法国太阳能市场增长了59%。当时的光伏累计装机容量已超过8.5 GW。但尽管如此，法国还是有可能无法实现2018年10.2 GW 的目标。
