项目开发商Sunseap计划在新加坡建造一个5兆瓦的浮动光伏系统。这一项目已获得了新加坡经济发展委员会的支持,在建成后将向电网供电25年。
目前全球各地已经安装有1.1吉瓦的浮动太阳能系统,但绝大多数都位于风平浪静的内陆淡水湖泊或饮用水水库之上。由于海水具有腐蚀性以及波浪的影响,在海上建造太阳能设施具有更高的挑战性。但Sunseap表示以及规划好了在柔佛海峡建造这一项目。
该公司对能建造这一具有里程碑意义的项目感到十分兴奋,认为它能展示出公司的实力,且能为将新加坡打造成亚洲太阳能枢纽这一目标助力。
受土地限制,新加坡等国对浮动光伏的兴趣一直十分浓厚。新加坡太阳能研究所(SERIS)在过去两年中使用一种浮动光伏测试台,来评估浮动光伏的各种不同系统类型和安装方案。Sunseap也参与了这一由SERIS牵头的测试台项目,它会将其在淡水水库上建造浮动光伏的经验用于最新的项目。
今年4月,新加坡进行了2.5兆瓦的浮动光伏招标,目前正在评估在克兰吉水库(Kranji reservoir)上实施100兆瓦大型浮动光伏项目的可行性。
