法国太阳能公司Urbasolar宣布，将在法国零售商家乐福（Carrefour）所属36家超市的停车场部署光伏停车棚，后者是全球最大的超市连锁店之一。
Urbasolar在一份声明中表示，家乐福是第一家选择这种解决方案的法国零售商，这些太阳能设施产生的电力将完全由每家超市门店自行消耗。部署在每家门店的每一个系统，其年产电量可达21,000兆瓦，相当于4,600户家庭的年电力消耗量，每年可减少210吨的碳排放量。
在去年6月下旬举行的“#PlaceAuSoleil倡议”中（该倡议为法国生态和稳健过渡部的一个方案，其目的是改善目前的太阳能监管框架并推动其发展），法国零售集团欧尚（Auchan）和家乐福（Carrefour）曾经承诺将加大对太阳能和可再生能源的使用。
当时，欧尚曾表示计划在其法国的门店安装面积为60公顷的太阳能电池板，而家乐福则承诺安装面积达20公顷的太阳能电池板。同时还有另外两家零售商Magasins U和Les Mosquetaires，也承诺将各自安装面积达50公顷的太阳能电池板。
去年10月，欧盟委员会批准了法国的新可再生能源自耗激励方案。这一方案引入了净计量，但并不适用于像家乐福这样在100%自耗模式下开发的项目。
