马其顿国有电力公司Elektrani na Makedonija(ELEM)发布了建设该国首座大型光伏发电厂的招标公告，采购活动的截止日期为4月10日。
这一拟建的10兆瓦项目将毗邻ELEM的TPP Oslomej热电厂（产电量约占该国总电产量的10%）。ELEM将出资1000万欧元用于项目建设，约占项目总投资额的33%。另67%的资金则来自欧洲复兴开发银行（EBRD）的长期债务。
被选中的开发商预计需在今年7月开始施工建设，并需在10个月内完工。采购合同还将包括为期36个月的运维(O&M)服务。投标行动将通过EBRD的客户电子采购门户（ECEPP）进行电子商务采购。
Elem 表示，这一项目是公司战略的一个组成部分。这一战略旨在使公司进一步远离煤炭，并增加可再生能源发电量，以便为产能严重短缺及煤电比例较高的地区提供清洁能源。
目前，马其顿主要还是依赖于火力发电。该国1.41吉瓦的总发电量中，火力发电为842兆瓦，水电和风电分别为553.6MW和36.8MW。而光伏装机容量只有18兆瓦，其中大部分为分布式发电设施。马其顿计划在2020年实现28%的可再生能源发电量。
