法国能源集团Engie已决定将其在德国和荷兰的四座燃煤发电厂出售给美国私募股权公司Riverstone，以持续其加大清洁能源的承诺。
这四座发电厂中，有三座在德国，容量分别为350兆瓦、472兆瓦和726兆瓦。第四个发电厂的容量为731兆瓦，位于荷兰鹿特丹市。
Engie表示，这一交易预计将在今年下半年完成，它能将公司的合并金融债务净额减少近2亿欧元。此次交易之后，Engie的燃煤发电量在其发电量中的占比将从2015年底时的13%降低至4%。
Engie集团首席执行官Isabelle Kocher表示：“此次交易完全符合本集团在零碳过渡中成为全球领导者的战略。”从2019年到2021年，Engie将拨款120亿欧元，重点投资于企业和地方政府电力解决方案、可再生能源的大规模开发以及电力和天然气网络在能源转型中的必要性调整。
荷兰政府计划在2030年底前关闭所有的燃煤发电厂，并将从2021年起对此类设施设置新的约束性标准。而德国所设定的关闭所有燃煤电厂的截止日期是2038年。
