Scatec太阳能公司位于埃及本班（Benban）综合体的400兆瓦双面加单轴跟踪发电厂正逐步实现商业运营。6月3日，这家挪威独立电力供应商表示已实现另一块65兆瓦的片区并网，因此在本班总共实现130兆瓦的上线产能。
Scatec于今日宣布已将其第三个片区接入电网，将其总装机容量增至195兆瓦。还有三个65兆瓦的片区正等待完工和并网。Scatec表示，预计将在今年下半年完成安装并进入商业运营。
2017年4月，Scatec与埃及政府签署了一项为期25年的电力购买协议，总共六个电厂的产能总计400兆瓦。本班项目的总投资额估计为4.5亿美元，其中Scatec的股本占5000万至7000万美元。该公司与一些未透露名称的埃及开发商们及KLP Norfund Investments合作进行了额外的股权投资，由欧洲复兴开发银行牵头的一个贷方财团也参与其中。Scatec表示，项目在25年内的预期收入为6,000万美元。
招标降低价格
这家开发商将从400兆瓦的发电现场向埃及电力传输公司（EETC）出售电力，并通过公开招标确定了将从本班输出的电价。
最终本班项目得到的上网电价（FIT）为0.084美元/千瓦时。这个综合体一旦完工，将把1.8吉瓦的太阳能发电产能接入到电网。继慷慨的FIT制度之后，埃及已开始进行竞争性拍卖，并得到了大约为0.03美元/千瓦时的报价，大型公用事业级项目甚至更低。
在200兆瓦Kom Ombo项目的招标中，EETC收到了六个投标，其中最低的来自沙特能源集团ACWA电力，仅有0.02752美元/千瓦时。第二低报价来自西班牙开发商Fotowatio，电价为0.02791美元，随后是Scatec的0.03045美元。另外三个财团——EDF-丸红商社-El Sewedy、Engie-Orascom，以及Actis-Enerpal，分别给出了每千瓦时0.0315美元、0.034美元和0.035美元的报价。
