最新版本的追踪报告显示市场分散程度不断增加，30家最大的EPC公司共安装了19吉瓦的太阳能发电容量，这个数字仅占市场的21%，略低于2017年EPC前30强的23%。印度企业Sterling & Wilson占据市场领头羊地位，其2017年光伏装机容量增加一倍以上，从去年的1.2吉瓦增至2.7吉瓦。
“由于Sterling and Wilson在印度不断扩大的光伏市场中继续保持领先地位，所以市场份额不断上升，”IHS Markit的太阳能和储能研究和分析经理Josefin Berg表示，“去年该国的EPC太阳能装机容量增长了39%。然而，Sterling and Wilson也受益于大型海外项目，最值得注意的是1.2吉瓦的阿布扎比Sweihan项目。”
国际化在市场领先的EPC企业中成为一种更广泛的趋势，排名前15位的公司中有7家在不止一个地区开展项目。IHS将澳大利亚、欧洲、中东和拉丁美洲列为除印度外的主要增长市场。
全球最大太阳能市场以外的增长使得中国领先的EPC企业们能够应对中国出台5•31政策，决定减少公共光伏补贴所带来的风暴。虽然特变电工新疆新能源自2015年以来已将头把交椅让给了Sterling & Wilson，但它仍然是中国市场领导者，市场份额仅略有下降，从2017年的1.8%降至去年的1.6%。
逆变器制造商阳光电源市场份额为1.3%，在中国排名第二，在全球排名第三。
