强烈风雨还造成了另一个受害者，日本最大的光伏电站——由京瓷于2018年3月在市原市建成的山仓大坝。
据日本媒体报道，台风将多个组件从项目中刮出并堆叠起来。消防员透露，松脱的面板与那些仍然搭在安装结构上的面板之间存在接触，从而使组件变得过热，引发了火灾。
《朝日新闻报》的YouTube频道报道了大火的程度，用消防人员的话说，大约涉及50块面板。
该太阳能发电厂约占44英亩的水面，共有来自京瓷的50,904个太阳能电池组件。
一名京瓷发言人告诉《光伏》杂志，当地时间下午5:20左右大火被扑灭，造成的损失程度正在调查之中。
这个项目由千叶县公共企业机构为减少组织对于环境的影响而发起，所产生的全部电力被出售给东京电力能源伙伴公司。
