沙特阿拉伯能源公司ACWA Power已经在约旦Risha建成了一座50 MW的光伏发电厂。
该公司在一份新闻稿中表示，在完成所有必需的调试和启动测试之后，这座太阳能公园已于本月初投入商业运营。
ACWA Power执行董事Thamer Al Sharhan表示：“在规定的时间内达到COD，表明了我们致力于以可承受的价格可靠地为约旦提供清洁能源，并完善我们在该地区的可再生能源项目组合的决心。”
2017年，约旦国家电力公司（NEPCO）启动该项目招标。ACWA Power以0.42约旦第纳尔（0.59美元）/千瓦时的价格中标，且期限为20年。该发电厂位于马夫拉克省的Risha地区，距离约旦首都安曼东北约300公里。更确切地说，该工厂位于距离伊拉克边境4公里的一个军事区内，毗邻现有的150 MW的Risha燃气轮机发电厂（该厂由ACWA Power旗下公司CEGCO拥有和经营）。
这个价值6900万美元的项目由欧洲复兴发展银行（EBRD）、KfW Group子公司德国投资与开发有限公司（DEG）及阿拉伯银行提供资金。其中，欧洲复兴发展银行出资2760万美元。
此外，ACWA Power还在安曼东北部的马夫拉克建造另一个60.9 MW光伏阵列。目前，ET Solutions AG——中国光伏组件供应商中盛光电（ET Solar）的德国子公司——正与中国电力工程顾问集团（China Power Engineering Consulting Group）华北电力设计院工程有限公司（NWPDI）合作建设该项目。该电厂将依据一份20年购电协议、以0.043约旦第纳尔/千瓦时的价格向NEPCO出售电力。
