北方邦政府已开始着手，准备建立一个2吉瓦产能的超大型可再生能源园区。
由首席部长Yogi Adityanath主持的国务院会议，批准了一份关于建立合资企业的谅解备忘录。该备忘录约定，北方邦新能源和可再生能源开发局(UPNEDA)将与州政府和联邦政府共同参股的水力发电公司——印度THDC公司，共同组建一家合资企业。
该合资项目的注册资本为5亿卢比，印度THDC公司 和 北方邦新能源和可再生能源开发局（UPNEDA）将分别持有该公司74%和26%的股份。
新园区初期拟投入240亿卢比，在园内建造600兆瓦产能的太阳能发电设施，折合发电成本为每兆瓦4000万卢比。
州政府表示，等园区内的土地划分完成，连接站顺利到位，并可以将电能分送至最近的变电站时，竞标的开发商们可以为太阳能发电提供具有竞争力的报价。
印度太阳能公司估计，该600兆瓦的太阳能发电厂将为7200人提供就业机会。
该可再生能源项目，将依据北方邦光伏政策（2017年） 和 联邦新能源和可再生能源部 施行的超大型可再生能源园区计划，进行建造开发。后一项计划将为该项目提供部分资金，最高可达每兆瓦200万卢比或项目总成本（含并网费）的30%，以较低者为准。
