丹麦光伏开发商Better Energy已经开始在丹麦西北部的霍尔斯特布罗市建设一座200兆瓦的无补贴光伏发电厂。
该发电厂将由丹麦服装公司Bestseller旗下的Heartland拥有并运营，可满足Heartland的全部电力需求，同时还可将电力出售给Bestseller的其它设施，以及丹麦零售连锁企业Normal和Nemlig旗下的设施。该集团未提供任何额外细节。
“具有突破性意义的不仅是新建太阳能发电厂的规模，而且还包括这样一个事实：该太阳能发电厂将为Bestseller和其它公司提供新的无补贴绿色电力”，Better Energy首席执行官Rasmus Lildholdt Kj deeq表示。
Better Energy公司正在农业用地上建设该项目，这些土地也将用于发展有机农业。该项目于本月早些时候开始施工建设，预计整个项目将在2021年夏季完成。
“在建设过程中，将种植有机三叶草，建设永久性草地和草本植被，在一些未开发区域播种花卉种子，且将不再在这些土地上使用农药，”开发商解释说，“因此，在未来，即使在暴雨期间，再也不会有杀虫剂和除草剂被冲到该地区脆弱的河流和地下水中，这可为蜜蜂和其它授粉昆虫创造更好的生存条件。”
该发电厂将包括一个变电站，由丹麦电力公司Energinet于2021年春季在伊顿隆德（Idomlund）运营。
