苹果公司已宣布其位于丹麦维堡的数据中心目前已签订长期电力采购协议，由50兆瓦的太阳能项目提供电力支持。
丹麦开发商European Energy建造了这个太阳能电池阵列，在8月初出售给德国LHI集团。European Energy当时表示项目已经与不具名买家签订了长期电力采购协议，但并未披露此次交易的其他细节。
这个太阳能发电园区拥有双面太阳能板，是丹麦目前运营中的最大无补贴光伏电站。丹麦现有几个无补贴的太阳能设施正在开发中，包括Nissum Fjord附近的一个 400兆瓦项目 和位于Holstebro的200兆瓦发电站 。
苹果公司表示该数据中心也将从European Energy在日德兰半岛西海岸Esbjerg建造的一个风力发电厂获取电力。据当地媒体报道，该数据中心在2019年4月停止施工，而后因为承包商延误交付工期产生争议。
苹果公司在2018年公布了其使用100%清洁能源为其全球业务提供电力支持的计划。该计划覆盖其位于43个国家的业务，包括零售店、办公室、数据中心和其他设施。
