而Watenergy这个系统能以低成本提供电力和饮用水。它还被设计为能在发生自然灾害时作为应急供应。它的组成基础包括一个独立的光伏系统、一个罐式集装箱,以及监控平台,其中光伏系统由太阳能电池板、逆变器和磷酸铁锂电池(LiFePO4)组成。
光伏系统被纳入到一个20英尺罐式集装箱中,并配备一个智能负荷管理平台。它的工作原理是根据环境温度、湿度和入射的太阳辐射来运转水生产系统。所发电力中有一部分被用于一台捕捉湿气的机器,从而每天能生产出500升饮用水。
欧洲区域发展基金为该项目提供了支持。在此之前GFM已开发出Julia轻便型系统、Suninbox平台,以及一些旨在为偏远地区提供智能电网服务的即插即用型轻便方案。
