希腊建筑公司和能源提供商GEK Terna Holding Real Estate Construction宣布一项计划，预计在希腊西部三座水库建造三个浮动光伏电站，总装机容量为265 MW。
该公司在一份声明中称，这三个项目将设立在自然保护区以外，预计耗资约1.7亿欧元。
其中一个项目是120 MW的电站，计划建在邻近Aetolia-Acarnania的Kastraki镇Kastraki人工水库。此外，GEK Terna还希望在Arachthos河上的Pournari水库建造103 MW的浮式阵列，并在同样位于Aetolia-Acarnania的Stratos附近的人工湖上建造42 MW的电站。
该公司表示，计划在未来五年内部署约3 GW可再生能源产能，而这三个项目正是此计划的一部分。其中约有1.8 GW在希腊、美国、中欧和东欧或投入运营或在建或筹备建造。
希腊报纸Ekathimerini报道称，GEK Terna并不是唯一一家计划在希腊开发浮动光伏的公司，国家公用事业公司Public Power Corporation SA全资子公司PPC Renewables SA（PPCR）也计划在该国安装50 MW浮动光伏发电容量。
据报道，该公司正考虑在Kozani辖区内Aliakmonas河的人工湖以及马其顿西北部Florina境内的小湖部署50 MW。
此外，该报纸还透露，Interphoton Investment已向希腊监管机构RAE提交500 MW浮动光伏项目的规划申请，同样拟建于Kozani-Servia更广阔盆地最南端的Polyphytou上。据Ekathimerini报道，该太阳能电站预计将占湖面总面积的4％左右。
