在日本四国（Shikoku）岛上香川县的坂出市（Sakaide），日本三井住友建设已在一个农业池塘上部署完成一个2 MW的浮式太阳能阵列。 这家公司已为Haisuke浮式太阳能电站争取到采用日本长期保护性电价计划的二十年电价。该项目是三井住友建设迄今为止在日本建造的第三个浮式光伏项目。
在项目施工时，公司采用了其2015年开始研发的PuKaTTo专利浮式技术。三井住友建设透露，“包括Haisuke项目在内，我们已为七个日本国内项目和五个国外项目提供了我们的浮式解决方案。”
公司宣称这种技术易于部署，且高度耐用。重量为9.7公斤的浮台由高密度聚乙烯（HDPE）制成，并含有紫外线吸收剂，其中还包括用于系泊缆绳的部件。浮台借助2公斤重的桥架相互连接，施工和维护人员也可将桥架作为通行道。浮台中心处设有宽大的开口，有助利用水来冷却光伏板。
公司在每个浮台上安装起直立的支架，让光伏面板保持10度倾斜。浮台外侧布置有一个脚手架浮台，作为安装和维护系泊绳的操作架。浮台还通过捆扎带相互固定在一起，并利用螺栓将太阳能电池板支架固定在浮台平面上。公司表示，使用捆扎带可以在短短数小时内部署好整个浮式阵列。
这种技术可以搭载来自不同制造商的60片和72片电池组件。浮台和捆扎带都有十年质保期。
