GGGI是一个基于条约的政府间组织，旨在促进发展中国家的可持续经济增长。2018年，它与MSRDC建立了合作伙伴关系，以支持印度的高速公路项目。GGGI为该项目提供了技术援助、投资尽职调查和债务结构调整等服务。
“这是第一个与印度大型公路基础设施项目相配合的可再生能源项目。GGGI在为未来公路上的绿色电动车基础设施奠定基础并扫清障碍方面发挥了重要的作用，”GGGI亚太区技术负责人Gulshan Vashistha说。
GGGI还领导了技术和商业研究的准备工作，包括土地评估、电网研究、环境和社会影响评估，以及详细的财务模型，给出了令人信服的太阳能光伏商业案例证明。在设计阶段之后，GGGI的赠款对于确保项目获得资金至关重要。
项目预计将在其25年的生命周期内帮助减少1000万吨的二氧化碳排放，并将创造约200个绿色岗位。它还将为MSRDC在高速公路上建造充电站的附加计划铺平道路。
