RMIPPPP吸引了28个投标回应，潜在签约产能约为5.12 GW。DMRE选择了其中8个优先投标，产能共计1.85 GW。在2 GW招标产能中，约60%被授予几家以液化天然气为动力的浮动式发电厂，但最终只有几个光伏项目中标，这些项目必须通过竞争来确保满足一定程度的本地成分要求——不仅与其他技术之间存在竞争，而且相互之间也存在竞争。
