英国商业、能源和产业战略部（BEIS）今日全新启动第四轮差价合约（CFD）计划，助力部署公用事业规模可再生能源项目。
英国政府已为新一轮拍卖拨款2.85亿英镑，且自2015年以来首次将太阳能和陆上风能纳入竞争能源。但是，其中仅有1000万英镑是专门用于太阳能和陆上风能的，二者被政府界定为成熟技术。大部分资金将指定用于海上风电、潮汐发电和漂浮式海上风电项目。
BEIS希望通过这一轮拍卖活动签定12 GW左右的可再生能源容量，即超出以往三轮拍卖的总容量。
BEIS表示：“自2015年以来，陆上风能和太阳能首次参与竞争性分配，政府希望这两项技术作出巨大的产能贡献，帮助我们实现为达成气候变化目标所需要的部署水平。”该部还指出，此次拍卖中太阳能和风能的总容量可能不会超过5 GW，且已分别为这两项技术设定了3.5 GW的采购容量上限。
感兴趣的开发商必须在2022年1月14日之前提交申请。
