SunPower已与其大股东道达尔能源公司签署了一项最终协议，以2.5亿美元的价格出售其商业和工业解决方案（CIS）业务，其中包括受制于监管方式变化的6000万美元盈利能力支付计划安排。
目前，道达尔能源公司在全世界范围内拥有近500 MW的分布式能源发电量。此次收购将使其足迹扩展到美国市场，并允许其每年新增超过100 MW的产能。
此次出售是意料之中的事情，因为该公司去年11月份曾表示考虑剥离商业业务，并透露其工商业项目给其第三季度收益造成了800万美元的亏损。SunPower此前也曾宣布，它将专注于住宅业务。
道达尔能源公司可再生能源高级副总裁Vincent Stoquar表示：“通过此次收购，道达尔能源公司将进一步投资增加其在美国的分布式发电活动，并支持B2B客户实现他们的可持续发展目标。这是我们在该国可再生能源发展史上的一个新里程碑，我们的目标是到2025年实现4吉瓦的太阳能发电容量。此举也能让SunPower将更多的资源投入到持续增长的住宅市场。”
此次收购已获得两家公司的批准，只要符合惯例成交条件，预计将在第二季度初期完成。道达尔能源公司报告称，其在SunPower的过半数所有权股份仍将保持在50.83%。
