韩国电子制造商LG宣布，将在6月底关闭太阳能组件业务。
该公司在一份声明中称：“受价格竞争加剧和原材料成本上涨等各项因素影响，全球太阳能电池板业务的不确定性持续增加，因此我们作出了这一决定。LG将继续提供品牌服务，并在关闭业务后的一段时间内保持对现有LG太阳能电池板客户的支持。公司在今年第二季度之前将继续生产太阳能电池板，以保证适当的库存来满足未来服务支持之需。”
该公司称，在其商业解决方案事业本部（BS）旗下光伏部门的员工将获得与他们在公司工作年限相称的过渡支持和遣散费。
LG在最新财务业绩报告中称，尽管太阳能组件业务“表现欠佳”，但BS本部的收入略有增长。
