在采购实践中，能源署计划将2000MW分配给四个项目类别，分别为低于100kW的装机项目，规模为100-500kW不等的项目，容量在500kW-3MW之间的光伏阵列和装机容量超过3MW的太阳能电站。
入选项目将根据该国的可再生能源证书（REC）计划获得一份为期20年的固定电价合约并向当地输电商出售电力。依赖低碳足迹的太阳能光伏组件的项目将优先入选。
感兴趣的开发商可以在7月1日之前提交标书。此次招标的最终结果预计将在8月19日公布，中标的开发商会在10月获取最终合约。
在2021年举行的两轮招标中，韩国能源署分别完成 2 GW和2.2 GW的分配；在2020年，该数据为1.2GW和1.4GW。在2017、2018和2019年，分配的总容量分别为600MW、600MW和850MW。韩国当局今年共将完成4GW太阳能的招标。
该国在2021年12月末达成了约22GW的太阳能装机容量。2021年新装机光伏容量约为4.4GW。
韩国目前计划在2030年前完成30.8GW的太阳能装机容量。
