美国电源优化器生产商Tigo Energy已针对德国光伏逆变器制造商SMA美国子公司SMA Solar Technology America LLC向美国特拉华州地区法院提起专利诉讼。
该诉讼涉及针对编号为8,823,218、8,933,321、9,584,021、9,966,848、10,256,770和10,333,405的六项美国专利的侵权索赔指控。
“投诉的重点在于连接光伏电池板的组件级快速关断单元中使用的各种系统和方法。”Tigo Energy声明称，同时指出这起控诉声称SMA及其某些供应商抄袭了Tigo柔性MLPE解决方案中所包括的、符合美国国家电气规范（NEC）NFPA 70的快速关断要求的创新产品。

致力于为分布式能源（DER）行业制定标准的美国能源行业协会——SunSpec联盟,此前曾在2021年7月对Tigo Energy的其中两项专利的有效性提出过质疑，并向美国专利局提出了多方复审（IPR）申请。
SunSpec的申请对编号为8,933,321和10,256,770的美国专利——即Tigo Energy针对SMA美国子公司提起诉讼所涉及的其中两项专利中特定宣称的有效性提出了质疑（Tigo此前在该诉讼中指控对APsystems专利的侵权）。Tigo宣称这些专利与SunSpec快速关断规范相关。但是，SunSpec认为这一指控是“未经证实且不准确的”，并决定针对Tigo的指控提出IPR申请为自己辩护。
美国专利商标局已从1月底开始审查并复审Tigo第321和770号专利的有效性，并计划在今年11月举行听证会。
