荷兰经济事务部透露，在2022年一轮针对大型太阳能和可再生能源项目的SDE++（Stimulering Duurzame Energieproductie）计划中，已预选出2.26 GW光伏项目，截至目前，太阳能占到分配容量的90%左右。
管理SDE++计划的国有机构Rijksdienstvoor Ondernemend Nederland（RVO）已接受2052项可再生能源项目提案，总容量为2344 MW。这些项目中有1944个总容量为1275 MW的屋顶光伏装置，77个总计955 MW的地面安装太阳能项目，另有20个总计20 MW的浮动太阳能阵列项目，此外还有总计75 MW的风电场提案。
RVO说：“在这一轮中开发商可以申请最多37.5 TWh的太阳能光伏和风能的陆上可再生能源发电容量，但这个上限尚未达到。”
2022年SDE++计划预算为130亿欧元（135亿美元），是其迄今为止的最高金额，还首次接受了与可再生能源相关的绿色氢提案，以及基于混合玻璃炉的工业电气化项目。此外还有三个建造42 MW氢电解器的提案。
在最新一轮计划中，荷兰政府机构选择了3,426个光伏项目，总容量为3,535 MW。根据荷兰国家区域电力和天然气网络运营商协会（Netbeheer Nederland）新闻的一份报告，到2050年时荷兰的太阳能总装机容量可以达到38 GW至125 GW。截至12月底，该国累计太阳能装机容量会达到14.3 GW。
