圭亚那政府和泛美开发银行（IDB）合作启动部署33MW/34MWh太阳能+储能项目的招标。
圭亚那当局表示，本次招标将分为3批，招标将选择8个光伏项目，但政府尚未披露其他的技术和财务细节。
提交项目意见书的截止日期是3月6日。采购行动也是圭亚那实用规模太阳能光伏（GUYSOL）计划的一部分。
据国际可再生能源署（IRENA）消息，截止2021年底，圭亚那安装了约8MW光伏容量。该国野心勃勃的低碳开发战略目标是在2025年前依靠可再生能源满足所有能源需求，也即需要替换200MW的热力发电容量。
