台湾省当局宣布，2022年开始实施的光伏上网电价在2023年仍将保持不变，而其最初计划将上网电价降低1%至3%。
“岛内光伏产业仍然受到原材料价格和劳动力短缺的部分影响，”台湾省当局在一份声明中表示，“不过，光伏系统价格将在今年下半年逐渐企稳。”
发电容量从1 kW至10 kW不等的住宅装置, 其上网电价最高将定为5.8952新台币（0.20美元）/千瓦时。台湾省当局表示，将继续执行该上网电价，以便鼓励业内对新太阳能发电设施的投资。当局在2022年6月底也采取了同样的措施，确认下半年将继续执行一至六月份的上网电价。
台湾省当局透露，到2021年底，该省太阳能累计装机容量约达7.7 GW，每年新增装机容量达到1.9 GW。最近，《台北时报》报道称，2022年新增光伏产能可能达到2 GW。
台湾省当局的目标是到2025年，安装20 GW的太阳能发电产能，包括3 GW的屋顶光伏发电产能和17 GW的地面太阳能发电产能。
