该太阳能项目预计将于2025年投入商业运营。首期投资共1亿欧元，用于建造从电力采购协议（PPA）中获益的太阳能设施，该电力采购协议是与微软和另一家未披露的技术公司签订的。根据PCRE的声明，其余太阳能项目将在爱尔兰RESS2拍卖中确定电价。
“这项欧洲对爱尔兰境内1.2GW太阳能投资的新支持是出于对爱尔兰可再生能源的信任，”爱尔兰环境、气候与通讯部部长Eamon Ryan说道。“这将使爱尔兰的太阳能电力可在晴天时替代化石能源，并帮助实现我们在2025年前达成5GW太阳能的目标。”
PCRE将使用1亿欧元建造其他太阳能项目，并表示另外4000万欧元或将用于支持其国际扩张计划。
