英国2023-24年T-1容量拍卖已授予627 MW电池储能项目合同，高于去年的385 MW。国家电网在一份临时拍卖文件中表示总采购量达5.78 GW。在拍卖的6.12 GW容量中，94.42%的项目获得了在短时间内实现供应的协议。

拍卖结果显示，在269个容量市场单位（CMU）的拍卖中，约五分之四来自现有发电资产。电池储能项目赢得了74份合同，大部分将来自新建项目。在627 MW的授权容量中，只有60 MW将来自现有的CMU发电量。在赢得合同的新建容量中，54%或568 MW来自电池，高于去年的261 MW。
近半数电池项目持续时长为一小时，而约40%为两小时系统。获得合同的储能项目开发商包括Alkane Energy、Conrad Energy、Gore Street、Gresham House、Gridserve、Harmony、Infragreen、Pivot Power、Pulse Clean Energy、SMS Energy Services、SUSI Storage和Tagenergy UK。
英国的关键容量拍卖通常在交付日期前四年左右举行，即所谓的T-4拍卖，其新建容量最多可获得15年合同，而现有产能只能获得为期一年的合同。其他容量较小的拍卖，即所谓的T-1拍卖，通常在交付前一年举行，范围仅限于一年期合同。
