阿尔及利亚国有公用事业公司Sonelgaz已发布招标公告，计划开发建设15座总容量为2 GW的太阳能发电厂。这些项目将遍布全国11个地点，且容量从80到220 MW不等。潜在开发商必须在5月29日之前递交标书。
其中，两个容量分别为80 MW和120 MW的项目将选址阿尔及利亚Béchar地区。M’Sila和B.B. Arreidj地区将分别建设一个220 MW的项目和一座80 MW的发电厂，而Batna地区计划建设另一个80 MW的发电厂。
Laghouat和Ghardaia地区将分别建设两个200 MW和80 MW的项目。El Oued地区将建造装机容量分别为200 MW和80 MW的设施。
Touggort和M’Ghaier地区将分别拥有130 MW和220 MW的太阳能项目。Biskra地区则将建设三个容量分别为200 MW、80 MW和150 MW的项目。
去年12月，阿尔及利亚能源转型和可再生能源部曾发起过一项部署1 GW太阳能容量的招标。
2019年，阿尔及利亚政府针对离网型太阳能阵列、太阳能柴油混合动力项目及其他光伏装置举行过招标会。这几轮采购活动是该国到2030年部署15 GW太阳能发电容量计划的一部分。据国际可再生能源机构（IRENA）透露，截至2021年底，阿尔及利亚的太阳能装机容量已达到423 MW左右。
