Hanwha Qcells America公司透露，其太阳能供应商韩华高新材料（佐治亚）有限公司（HAGA）将在佐治亚州巴托县建立一座全新的高新材料制造工厂。
HAGA将为Qcells提供封装薄膜乙基醋酸乙烯（EVA），这是太阳能模块的前“箔”，用以将电池夹在背板和前玻璃上。2022年，EVA出现短缺，通过供应自己的EVA薄膜，Qcells可以确保材料的稳定供应。Qcells表示，HAGA将成为全美唯一一家生产太阳能EVA的公司。
HAGA此次投资1.47亿美元，工厂将于2024年6月投产，届时，预计将创造160多个全职工作岗位，包括工程师、生产线操作员等。该工厂对于支持Qcells开发全集成美国太阳能供应链的计划至关重要。
“我们生产的产品是清洁能源供应链的重要组成部分，我们很高兴能满足这一需求，”韩华高新材料公司首席执行官Inhwan Kim说，“在佐治亚州制造我们最先进的材料，不仅将为太阳能领域创造新的职业，而且有助于为全国各地的客户带来更实惠、可靠的清洁能源。”
距Qcells宣布计划投资25亿美元扩大其业务，以便在佐治亚州建立一个全集成太阳能供应链生产基地后仅两个月时间，韩华公司就宣布了以上计划。这被认为是美国太阳能史上最大的投资，这家韩国公司是Hanwha Solutions 集团旗下的子公司，是第一家在美国建立全集成硅基太阳能供应链的公司。
