为了响应过去一年需求的飙升，该公司比原计划提前一年将产能扩展成12万套家用光伏储能系统。
业内专家预计，Sonnen今年的家用光伏储能系统安装量已经达到100万套。德国光伏工业协会（German Solar Association）报告称，德国去年新装了约21.4万套电池储能系统。根据亚琛工业大学的数据，仅第一季度就新增了超过11万套家用光伏储能系统。
在需求不断增长的同时，Sonnen也在持续壮大。从2022年初至今，公司员工人数几乎翻了一番，从800人增加到了1500人。其中约450人在位于德国南部奥尔加乌地区的维尔德波尔茨里德总部工作。Sonnen还在这里扩展了开发中心，并在现场新建了一个培训中心。
Sonnen首席执行官奥利弗·科赫（Oliver Koch）解释道：“去年市场需求出现了前所未有的增长，而我们的生产设施在2021年才启用，我们无法完全满足需求。但即便家用储能系统的需求重新趋于正常，也仍将保持在较高水平。”
由于早期产能扩张，Sonnen还能可靠地满足其他市场的需求。科赫表示：“凭借我们的虚拟发电厂技术，我们正在提升在储能及其他领域的附加值，由此确保在作为工业技术标杆的德国掌握数字能源转型的关键技术。”
Sonnen将其家用光伏储能系统连接到虚拟发电厂，让它们在电力平衡市场上提供工频服务等，并帮助电池系统实现电网稳定性——目前这仍然主要依赖于传统发电厂或大型储能设施。安装了家用储能系统的家庭有机会获得额外的收入。最近，Sonnen还将电动汽车纳入了其虚拟发电厂。
