2023年第一季度，印度的集中式和串式逆变器出货量超过4 GW，组件出货量约为3.1 GW。Waaree是最大的组件供应商，而Sungrow是领先的逆变器供应商。
在截至2023年3月31日的12个月内，开发商们安装了大约8 GW的公用事业规模太阳能发电量，同比下降22%。同时，约有2232 MW的新增屋顶太阳能发电量实现并网。
JMK Research预计，印度将在2023-24财年新增约18 GW的太阳能发电量，包括15.5 GW的公用事业规模和2.5 GW的屋顶发电量。据预测，该国将在未来两个季度内安装约6.7 GW的太阳能和2.5 GW的混合动力发电量。
