工程服务公司CEA针对600多套屋顶光伏系统展开了安全审计，结果发现97%的装置存在重大安全问题。此次检查范围覆盖美国、英国、意大利、西班牙、印度、日本、阿拉伯联合酋长国、澳大利亚、加拿大、墨西哥、捷克共和国、德国、波兰和法国。
该公司发布了一份新报告分享主要审计结果，确定了被审计系统中最常见的十大安全问题。报告显示，49%的站点存在接地问题，47%的组件损坏，41%有连接器交叉配接的问题，40%端接不良且连接器组装不当，31%存在组件热斑问题，27%的电缆敷设在尖锐边缘上，26%存在连接器断裂或损坏以及进水的问题，19%出现了外壳热斑。
该公司发言人告诉《光伏》杂志：“这些隐患绝大多数是由于安装不当造成的。这意味着，其中大部分问题都比较容易识别并解决，以免造成火灾、安全风险以及可能引发代价昂贵的责任。”
CEA发现，接地问题大多发生在逆变器或设备焊盘、光伏阵列块和组件横排之间以及延伸的导管沿线，这些构成最常见的安全问题。该公司还发现，组件损坏通常是由于安装或清洁方法不当造成的，包括在组件上行走以及遭遇冰雹或大风等极端气候事件。
CEA表示，连接器交叉配合问题通常是由于对UL认证连接器对接的理解错误，以及使用了与组件连接器不匹配的现场装配式连接器。
