今年上半年，咨询公司Greener进行的一项调查显示，巴西进口了7.8 GW的光伏组件，相较2022年同期的9.9 GW，进口量下降了21%。
Greener公司表示，大型公用事业光伏项目的需求，弥补了分布式发电市场在1月至6月期间的疲软，也抵消了光伏进口量的减少。占巴西光伏市场三分之二的分布式发电领域，其系统销量在第一季度出现了60%至70%的显著下降。
销售量的下降导致设备分销商们积累了大量库存，再加上多晶硅和组件价格的下降，可能会引发成本下降，并有可能重振屋顶市场的需求。
报告显示，2023年7月，多晶硅的价格暴跌至每公斤9.00美元以下，与2月份每公斤30.80美元的峰值相比，跌幅超过70%。考虑到硅的价格约占光伏组件成本的60%，而光伏组件又占系统最终价格的38%至50%，这种重大的价格变化可能会对降低光伏系统的中期成本产生重大影响。
