英国汽车制造商捷豹路虎表示,其正与Wykes Engineering公司进行合作,以其I-PACE电动汽车的回收锂电池为基础,建立大规模的固定能源系统。
该公司表示,系统将用来存储来自风能和太阳能发电厂的可再生能源,并指出其存储容量将达到2.5 MWh。
“用于建设系统的电池主要来自原型车和工程测试车,捷豹路虎的目标是到2023年底,提供足够的电池,存储能量总计达7.5 MWh,能够为750个家庭供电一天,”该公司表示, “在此之后,将会创建更多的容器,来容纳未来从二手车中取出的额外的回收电池。”
与瑞士Pramac公司合作开发的I-PACE电池的存储容量为90.2 kWh。据捷豹路虎称,这款电池重610公斤,尺寸为2280毫米x 1474毫米x 300毫米,保留了其原始容量的70%至80%。该公司强调称,该电池无需额外的制造过程,也不需要移除电池模块。
该公司表示,每个电池都与逆变器相连,以优化能源生产。
“一旦电池健康状况低于电动汽车的严格要求,I-PACE电池先进的工程技术使其非常适合二次使用,甚至是三次使用,或是应用于低能耗场景中,”捷豹路虎表示,“一旦电池的使用寿命结束,95%的电池可回收再利用。”
