据天合光能（Trina Solar）美国分公司透露，公司位于越南河内以北80公里的太原市的6.5 GW硅片工厂已开始运营。美国商务部（DoC）于2022年12月确定，从越南、柬埔寨、马来西亚和泰国进口的太阳能电池和组件可以规避对从中国进口的电池和组件的反倾销和反补贴税（AD/CVD）命令，随后，该公司于去年1月份宣布了新工厂。天合光能表示，这一新产能将专门用于供应其在美国公用事业、工商业和住宅太阳能市场的业务。
上周，天合光能开始在越南为Vertex模块生产210毫米单晶硅片。该公司表示：“生产的晶圆将主要用于天合光能在越南和泰国的工厂生产电池和组件，包括天合光能对美国市场的供应。”
新工厂的晶圆产能为6.5 GW，电池产能为4 GW，组件产能为5 GW。硅片厂包括拉锭、机加工、切片和硅处理等加工工艺。
去年5月，天合光能宣布与中国四川省什邡市一家未具名的国有企业签署了一项协议，将在什邡市建设一座产能为25 GW的单晶硅锭厂。
