The Back-End site of Fraunhofer ISEs Photovoltaic Technology Evaluation Center in the Solar Info Center in Freiburg was officially opened in July 2018 following its refurbishment. The PV-TEC Photovoltaic Technology Evaluation Center inaugurated in 2006 at Fraunhofer ISE was the first non Profit R&D laboratory in the field of crystalline silicon solar cells based on large scale and mostly automatic equipment.
